January Guild Meeting in Marin – Can you really make a basket out of that?

Posted By Joan Pont on January 1, 2010

Please be our guest on Monday, January 18, 2010, at 7 pm.  Emily Dvorin definitely stretches your ideas on what you can use to create baskets.  She creates vessels using ordinary materials such as pencils, straws, cloths pins and zip ties and then applies traditional techniques. She has shown her work all over the country and abroad and has had several articles written about her work. People are drawn to her work because of their color and playfulness and are then intrigued by their materials.

Meetings are held in the Francis Young Gallery at the Marin Art and Garden Center, Ross at 7 pm, on the 3rd Monday of the month. Guests and new members are welcome.
