PLEASE JOIN US for an unusually beautiful exhibit featuring the exquisite FrenchJacquard weavings of New York artist, Betty Vera and the rich and innovative paintings of Oakland artist, Mark Lightfoot.

This is a rare opportunity to view work by extraordinary artists whose works echo each other in form and grace.  Lightfoot’s paintings, in oil, acrylic and mixed media, are earthy explorations of texture and space. His expert and varied techniques allow his ideas about responding to nature to emerge in strong designs and subtle colors. Fascinating!

Ms. Vera, a longtime fiber artist with vast experience in hand-painted textile work, has created monumental and complex Jacquard weavings for us to enjoy. Her intricate tapestries shimmer with life and color. Her creations have the strength and feeling of contemporary paintings, with images that mirror elements of nature. Stunning!

Come enjoy these extraordinary works of art!

Admission is free. Parking fee: 4 quarters (one dollar in change)

ALL ARE WELCOME!
