Fiber Fusion

Although Fiber Fusion will not happen until October 11, 2014, it is never too early to start planning.  Fiber Fusion is growing in popularity and getting attention from many different areas throughout all of Northern California, Southern Oregon, and Nevada.

We have moved to the Patrick Ranch in Durham, CA (outside of Chico) for our “permanent” home.  Patrick Ranch is a lovely 28 acre historic farm with the house now a museum and barns and fields available for events like Fiber Fusion.  This year we are adding a few things to Fusion:  sheep dog trials, handmade textile competition for juniors and adults, mini-workshops, and we are adding more fiber animals (including Tibetan yaks).

Another thing we’d like to add is a guild section.  Years ago CNCH had each guild do a booth at the conference and there was a great amount of friendly competition between the guilds.  We would like to do something like this again.  Your guild would be available to do anything they want:  demonstrations or showcase things your guild has done or just present general information to the public about your guild.

There would be no charge to set up a booth……and if there is much interest from other guilds in doing this we could even have awards (yet to be determined) for the best booth(s).

Please share with your group to see if they would be interested in participating in such an event.  If so, we will be happy to develop this idea.

Let me know if you would like more information.  This would be the first year for this so now is the time to jump in and help us determine what we want this to be.
