San Luis Obispo Museum of Art will be hosting a basketry workshop, “Let Baskets Inspire You” with CNCH weaver Barbara Shapiro from July 25-27… Details about the workshop can be found on the museum’s Adult Workshops page (www.sloma.org/education/
The three-day workshop will cover three different methods of creating basketry art: paper plaiting, cane plaiting, and rafia coiling. At the end of each class, students should have a finished piece to take home. Throughout the workshop, you’ll learn about what inspires you and how you can incorporate your personal inspiration into your fiber art.
