The Sacramento Weavers and Spinners Guild’s Annual Open House, “Fantasy Fibers”, will be held on February 11 and 12, 2012 from 10 am to 4 pm each day at the Shepard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, CA.The show is free to the public.Highlights of this year’s show:

Saturday Group demonstrations of a variety of “do-it-yourself” equipment and techniques.
Spinning demonstrations of a variety of fibers and equipment.
Weaving demonstrations – floor and table looms, card weaving, inkle loom, basketry, traditional Navajo weaving, kumihimo, wagon wheel loom.
Hands-On – Guild members will help you spin and weave.
Exhibits of items made by Guild members.
Special displays by Spinners Group and Weavers Study Group.
Workshop Display – Samples of work from Guild sponsored workshops.
Drawing of member donated items. Need not be present to win.
Sales Area – all items for sale are made by Guild members.

Please come and join us and bring a friend or two to introduce them to our passion of weaving, spinning, dyeing and felting – a great time is guaranteed!

The Sacramento Weavers and Spinners Guild will hold their 2011 Annual Open House, “Tradition and Innovation” on Saturday & Sunday, February 12 & 13 at the Shepard Garden & Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, CA, from 10:00-4:00.

Free to the public.

We will have displays of items made by members, demonstrations, hands-on, sale of member created items and a drawing on Sunday afternoon (presence not required).

Our president, Will Taylor, stated in our latest newsletter that:

“This is probably the most important single event for the Guild as it helps spread the word to the community about our joy and fun with fiber arts.”

Please come and join us and bring a friend or two to introduce them to our passion with weaving, spinning, dyeing and felting – a great time is guaranteed!

The Sacramento Weavers and Spinners Guild will hold their 2010 Annual Open House, “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow” on Saturday & Sunday, February 13-14 at the Shepherd Garden & Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, CA. from 10:00-4:00. Free to public. We will have displays of items made by members, demonstrations, hands-on, sale of member created items and drawing on Sunday afternoon (presence not required). We’ll have an antique walking spinning wheel, wagon wheel loom and woven treasures from late 1800’s, early 1900’s.
