<td valign="top">The Sacramento Weavers and Spinners Guild’s Annual Open House, <strong>&#8220;Fantasy Fibers&#8221;</strong>, will be held on February 11 and 12, 2012 from 10 am to 4 pm each day at the Shepard Garden and Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, CA.The show is free to the public.<em>Highlights of this year’s show</em>:</p>
<p>Saturday Group demonstrations of a variety of &#8220;do-it-yourself&#8221; equipment and techniques.<br />
Spinning demonstrations of a variety of fibers and equipment.<br />
Weaving demonstrations – floor and table looms, card weaving, inkle loom, basketry, traditional Navajo weaving, kumihimo, wagon wheel loom.<br />
Hands-On – Guild members will help you spin and weave.<br />
Exhibits of items made by Guild members.<br />
Special displays by Spinners Group and Weavers Study Group.<br />
Workshop Display – Samples of work from Guild sponsored workshops.<br />
Drawing of member donated items. Need not be present to win.<br />
Sales Area – all items for sale are made by Guild members.</td>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Sacramento Weavers and Spinners Guild will hold their 2011 Annual Open House, “<strong>Tradition and Innovation</strong>” on Saturday &amp; Sunday, February 12 &amp; 13 at the Shepard Garden &amp; Arts Center, 3330 McKinley Blvd, Sacramento, CA, from 10:00-4:00.</p>
<p><strong>Free to the public</strong>.</p>
<p>We will have displays of items made by members, demonstrations, hands-on, sale of member created items and a drawing on Sunday afternoon (presence not required). </p>
<p>Our president, Will Taylor, stated in our latest newsletter that:</p>
<p><strong> “This is probably the most important single event for the Guild as it helps spread the word to the community about our joy and fun with fiber arts.”</strong></p>
