CNCH 2017 – Sapphire Sea, Golden Threads Registration Opens November 12

The excitement is building for a wonderful workshop format conference to be held May 4 – 7, 2017 at Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove, California. Thirteen extraordinary instructors will present workshops to expand your weaving, spinning, basketry and dyeing repertoire. The first day of online registration is Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 9 AM PST. This conference is going to fill fast, so check out all the instructors now, so that you are ready to register on that morning.

Your guild liaison has a supply of paper copies of the booklet which you can get from him or her at your guild meeting. The cost for the conference is $350. Early Bird registration ends on January 31, 2017; the cost rises to $375 on February 1, 2017. The last day to register is April 1, 2017. Any cancellations received after April 1 receive no refund. Prior to April 1, the refund will be fees paid minus a $50 administration fee. All refunds will be sent after the conclusion of the conference. Housings costs are separate – see the registration book for detailed info.

CNCH is encouraging attendees to bring a spouse, relative, family member or friend to the conference. A registration fee of $25 will allow the guest to attend all evening events at the conference. The location is ideal for quiet contemplation for any artist or writer; a great place to finish that knitting or embroidery project; a beautiful setting for inspiration. Asilomar Conference Center also has many activities on site or in nearby Pacific Grove and/or Monterey for guests to enjoy including golf, kayaking, hiking and sightseeing. Single or double rooms are available. If you are bringing a companion, select “Participant with Guest.” If you are booking a double and know the name of your roommate, select “double occupancy” and complete the registration for yourself (enter “1” for the number of guests). When you get to the page where you enter your personal information, Enter your roommate’s name (or “I would like to be paired with a roommate”) in the “Roommate/Additional Requests” field. See the conference registration booklet for details on cost. In order to get the best price for the use of the conference facilities, CNCH commits to a specific number of guest rooms. It is important that you book your room and meals through the link in your registration confirmation email, on the CNCH website or at Asilomar’s special conference reservation page at http://www.tinyURL.com/CNCH2017Lodging in order to get the conference special rate, and for CNCH to get credit for your lodging. This also allows you to be in the center of the action and to take full advantage of all the conference events.

All meals are included in the lodging fees. Crocker dining hall is a spacious and welcoming gathering spot and an essential part of the Asilomar conference center experience. Attendees gather around tables for 10 and get to know other attendees and instructors in an informal setting. Each day, menu boards are posted at the dining hall and front desk, showcasing the meals that will be offered. Vegetarian/Vegan and gluten-free options are always available. For more sensitive allergy and medical restrictions attendees may consult with Asilomar’s conference service team. Asilomar Conference center has just completed renovations to bring the campus into ADA compliance.
