3 hour workshop: Saturday 9-12
Different projects require different types of cast-ons. Some projects need a stretchy cast-on, some need a cast-on that allows knitting in two directions, and some give decorative edges. This class will teach you a variety of cast-ons, including German Twisted, Rib, Invisible Provisional, Channel Island, Double Needle, Tubular (two methods) and Judy’s Magic Cast-on. Come discover new versatility in beginning your knitting projects.
Prerequisite: Students must know standard long tail cast-on, and basic stitches such as knit, purl, yarn over, K2tog.
Students to Bring: Worsted weight wool or wool blend, smooth yarn, and a set of
needles appropriate to the yarn
