Dyers

What a delight it must have been to the first person who realized that he/she could change the color of basket and clothing materials. Natural dyes and chemical dyes are both used extensively by fiber workers today, but there has been a rediscovery of the beauty of natural dyes in the last few years.

These pictures are from a safflower natural dye workshop presented by Dorothy Miller. As the dye bath is exhaused the color obtained changes from gold to pink.
