A casual spinner's, knitter's and weaver's guild which emphasizes spinning and welcomes all levels of spinners. We specialize in teaching those who have never spun but are interested in learning. Our guild meets monthly for general meetings, usually with some type of program. On Monday afternoons, year round, our "Monday Spinners" meet for the afternoon just to spin. Beginners are especially welcome on those days.

Monthly meetings are the last Wednesday of almost every month at: the Winslow Center, 2590 Pleasant Hill Rd [corner of Pleasant Hill Rd & Taylor Blvd.] Pleasant Hill CA 94523, 7:30 pm to about 9:30 p.m. The December meeting is a holiday party at a members home, June's meetings are two: a "dye-day" at a members home and our annual "Spinners Day at the Winery" Retzlaff Winery, Livermore CA 94550.

A day of Spinning at the Winery will be on June 2, 2007 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring a wheel and a dish to share for a pot-luck lunch. $5.00 entry fee. Retzlaff Winery, 1356 S. Livermore Ave, Livermore (just past City Hall and the Police Station). Fleeces, Fiber, Yarn & More from: Hayshed Basin Ranch, Cormo Fleeces, Bebo Rock Ranch, Carolina Homespun, Black Diamond Alpacas, Chuck Violet Kid Mohair, and Morro Fleece Works.

In July, we participate in a "Sheep to Shawl" contest held on the last Sunday of the Alameda County Fair. Monday Spinners meets at various members homes. Contact any of the following to get more information on dates and times. We all travel and are missing at times — feel free to contact all three!
