2016 – Modesto

See you at:

CNCH2016 Conference in Modesto, CA

Field to Fiber

April 8 – 10, 2016

The Area 2 Guilds of the Conference of Northern California Handweavers are excited to invite you to the 2016 conference to be held at the Doubletree Hotel and Modesto Centre Plaza Conference Center in Modesto, California.

Registration can be done on-line by clicking on the RegOnline link.  This user-friendly method of registration gives you real-time feedback on successful registration for the classes you want.  An additional method of registering is to fill out a paper copy of the registration form, and mail it to the Registration Chair.  The form can be found and printed from the “Forms” tab under the heading “Modesto – 2016”, or from your Guild CNCH Liaison.  Registration opens on January 3, 2016 at 9:00 PST, and closes on March 26, 2016.  There will be no on-site registration.

Room Reservations can be made through the Doubletree Hotel’s local number: (209)526-6000 at normal business hours.  A block of 80 rooms has been reserved for Friday and Saturday nights at the rate of $109/night (plus taxes).  A very small block of rooms has also been reserved for the shoulder nights of April 6 and 7, and April 10.  Please see the “Reservations” tab for further details.

Grants/Scholarships for attendance at the 2016 conference will be awarded to one person from each of the 5 CNCH areas.  Applications are available by clicking on the link on the main CNCH.ORG website page, and are due by January 4, 2016.

Fund-raising for future year grants will be done through the sales of snazzy denim shirts with CNCH2016 logos on them.  They go with almost everything, and will serve you fashionably through many future years.  They can (only) be ordered when you fill out your registration form, and will be available upon conference check-in.

Gallery Entries are being accepted for 3 open galleries, as well as for the popular Return to Sender, and Return of Return to Sender.  We invite you to showcase your creations and inspire other fiber enthusiasts by showing your works.  See the “Galleries” tab for an overview of the galleries, and the “Forms” tab for the entry form.  OF GREAT AND SPECIAL INTEREST THIS YEAR is the Children’s Gallery: a venue to showcase the seeds of creation by a new generation.  See the “Children’s Gallery” tab for more information.  We passionately encourage you to sponsor a young person – those who are our future – to enter this gallery.

Volunteers and Class Angels earn the gratitude, appreciation and awe of both the Conference planners and the attendees.  Be an active part of this conference.  Check out the “Volunteers and Angels” tab for a complete list of opportunities, and then fill in your ability to help in the Registration Form.

We look forward to seeing you in Modesto!
