An Intensive Weaving and Designing Session for Tapestry
Pam Patrie will guide you to designing and weaving a small design of your own. The designing, making, and using a detailed “cartoon” as a weaving guide will be our focus. The finished image will be a small art weaving 10 x 10 centimeters or 4 x 4 inches. Framing and mounting of the finished tapestry will be demonstrated.
Experience: This course is for beginning and intermediate levels of tapestry weaving methods.
Materials fee: $10 includes loom on loan
Pam Patrie is a tapestry artist, an excellent lecturer, studio teacher and scholar. She has produced an impressive body of work, exhibited widely, and has achieved international recognition and respect. She is self taught and has completed independent studies of the Gobelin Techniques and the Aubusson technique. She continues studies with master weavers worldwide. She has been teaching for twenty years and gives workshops in her studio on the Oregon coast.
