As an alternative to becoming a registered nonprofit, small guilds who want a
bank account may opt to be a DBA –
Example: Mary Smith doing business as XYZ Guild is a DBA and must apply for a
Fictitious Business License in the COUNTY their guild is situated.
Tax Identification would by Mary Smith’s SSN. Or, you could apply to IRS for a
separate tax identification for “said” business.
