For our two-and-a-half day workshop offerings, we have gathered an amazing cast of Instructors and we have asked them to provide us with unique offerings. They’ve all come through for us on that account!

If you’re a fan of kumihimo on the marudai, who’ve looked at some braids and said, “how the heck did they do that?” you’ll get the answers from our world-renowned instructor.
Meanwhile, if you want to enter the world of basketmaking, or just want to make a beautiful basket that will become an heirloom, we’re offering that in 2025.
If natural dyeing is of interest, we have snagged the premier west coast mushroom dyeing teacher. Or, join a leading textile artist for a roundup of fiber-reactive techniques!
Spinners: You can spin the planet! Or reach for the rainbow!
And for all of you weavers out there, we are running the whole gamut for you, from wool transparent tapestry, to a special twist on rug weaving, to ultra high-fashion fabric design, to weft Ikat, and have you ever heard of a metaweave? We’ve got that too!
There’s something for everyone, including a beginner or refresher floor loom workshop, and another workshop where we bring the specialized looms to you! Plus, for at least 2 of our workshops, rigid heddle looms will be an option.
Now speaking of looms. We have an emphasis on looms in our weaving line-up for CNCH 2025, and we know that there are those of you who tend to choose other workshops, not because you don’t want to expand your weaving horizons, but because shlepping a loom has become an issue for one reason or another.
We are instigating a program to motivate you to get past that!! Here’s what we’re offering:
With the help of our volunteers, and your guilds and guild liaisons, we want to guarantee you the assistance you need to take a loom-oriented workshop. To get you in front of a loom at CNCH 2025, we are going to be there for you. Guaranteed. If you register for a loom class, you will get the assistance you need.
Now a little more about Asilomar: You’ll enjoy completely refreshed rooms, including all new beds; a five star chef is now in charge of your meals which are all included in the room rate — and by the way the group meals are a wonderful way to connect with everyone at the conference; and of course, everything is accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Then there are the amazing Asilomar beach, the Monarch butterflies, the wildflowers, the birdwatching — you get the idea. A complete experience with like-minded people! Three days of nothing to worry about!
