Member guilds of CNCH are handweaving and spinning guilds in communities throughout Northern California and Northern Nevada. These groups are the local organizations where our individual members meet and enjoy the benefits of guild participation and being a part of CNCH.

Black Sheep Handweavers Guild
Black Sheep Handweavers Guild is a guild of approximately 100 members formed to promote the exchange of ideas and knowledge in textile arts and to encourage efforts and activities in these areas. Our meetings generally include members sharing their projects (“show-and-tell”) and an outside speaker. We sponsor 2-3 workshops each year, and we have several ongoing groups, including the Monday Night Spinners, the monthly Saturday Beginning Weavers group, and an Advanced Weaving Structure study group. We encourage visitors to attend and are always happy to welcome new members!

We are a guild of approximately 65 weavers. Our members weave on many different types of looms: from rigid heddle, backstrap, and table looms, through multi-shaft, multi-harness, and jacquard. Some weave without any loom at all! All of us are interested in the interlacements of warp and weft.
