Sienna, a passionate lover of crafts, found her true calling in weaving. She discovered this art form while pursuing her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts at Colorado State University, and it became a lifelong passion. Currently, she holds the position of Content Developer and Education Specialist at Schacht Spindle Company. In addition to her work at Schacht, Sienna teaches weaving, designs patterns and writes articles on weaving and crafts.

Learn to Weave Bands on an Inkle Loom: 

Discover the basics of weaving on an inkle loom! From setting up your warp to mastering plain weave, we’ll create a small band—perfect for turning into bookmarks or keychains.

Level of Student Expertise Suggested: Beginner (No Inkle Weaving experience required) 

Materials Fee: $15 

Supplies to be Provided by the Student: Inkle Loom, Belt Shuttle, and 20 string or texsolv heddles to fit the inkle loom

Exploring Pick-Up on an Inkle Loom: 

Explore the wonders of simple pick-up designs on an inkle loom. We’ll begin by warping the loom, and practicing pre-planned designs. We’ll then experiment with designing patterns of your own using simple tools and techniques.

Level of Student Expertise Suggested: confident beginner or intermediate – some inkle weaving experience recommended

Materials Fee: $25

Supplies to be Provided by the Student: Inkle Loom, Belt Shuttle, and 30 string or texsolv heddles to fit the inkle loom
