Staying Active During Covid-19

The Santa Cruz Textile Arts Guild has been staying active with zoom meetings, especially among its study groups. Here’s a great example of what the Tapestry Weaving study group has been up to, with two links in an email from long-time member, Janette Gross.By the way, you can see an interesting profile of Janette and her work on the SCTAG website.

SCTAG’s little tapestry group’s Monterey Bay pieces were submitted to the ATA’s unjuried small tapestry show. It was to be hung at Convergence, but no Convergence, so it is now online here at the ATA website. https://americantapestryalliance.org/exhibitions/unjuried-small-format-tapestry-exhibition/renditions-2020-unjuried-small-format-exhibition/

click on group shows and you will see our guild represented.

A blogger has also picked Bonnie Britton’s and Peg McCollough’s pieces to highlight in her blog here: https://www.kennitatully.com/tapestry-journeys/2020/8/2/renditions-2020-texture-and-movement
